Alix Heins joins Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic to practice psychiatry

Alix Heins, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner, is excited to begin practicing psychiatry at the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic.

“I chose to join Essentia Health because they have programs in place that provide excellent opportunities to strengthen my clinical skills while receiving support and mentorship,” said Heins. “I’m looking forward to caring for patients in the region.”

Heins received her education from the College of St. Scholastica. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.   

“I believe that every person deserves to be treated with kindness, respect and empathy,” said Heins. “My approach is grounded in creating a safe and supportive environment where patients and their families feel comfortable sharing their experiences and challenges.”
