AJ Espensen joins Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic to practice obstetrics and gynecology

AJ Espensen, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse midwife, is excited to begin practicing obstetrics and gynecology at the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic.

“I was drawn to Essentia’s midwifery team for its strong commitment to the midwifery model of care and serving pregnant patients across the region,” said Espensen. “The team’s dedication to physiologic birth, building patient trust and collaborative practice with OB/GYN colleagues all align closely with my values as a midwife. I am excited to join a practice where patients are truly respected, supported and empowered in their health decisions.”

Espensen received her education from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She is certified by the American Midwifery Board.
