Facility Overview

The Moose Lake Fitness Center offers members a great way to improve or maintain their fitness level. We are open with protocols designed to keep you and our staff safe. 

Our spacious facility features a variety of cardio and strength equipment, a free weight room, a classroom, a fitness room, large locker rooms, a bank of windows for natural light, wall-mounted televisions, and wireless audio capabilities.

Services

Look to our staff for fitness instruction or help measuring your progress. Need extra motivation? Try our group fitness classes or personal training services. 

  • Personal training - We offer one-time sessions to get you started or sign up for an ongoing program. We can help you find success in a healthy lifestyle. Cost of this service is $20 per half-hour or $40 per one-hour session and is available to both Fitness Center members and nonmembers. Call 218-485-5557 or 218-485-5582 for more information.
  • No-cost injury screening (by appointment) – get answers about a nagging strain or pain with your free injury screen through Essentia Health-Moose Lake Physical Therapy. Call 218-485-5597 to schedule your appointment. 
  • Group fitness classes - we offer classes for a range of skill levels and anyone can sign up.

  • 45 Minute Classes
    • Per session:  $5 member/$7 non-member per session + tax
    • Class package (10 classes):  $45 member/$65 non-member + tax
  • 30 Minute Classes (for members and non-members) 
    • Per session:  $4 + tax
    • Class package (10 classes):  $35 + tax
  • Yoga 
    • Per session:  $6 member/$8 non-member + tax
    • Class package (10 classes):  $55 member/$70 non-member + tax

  • Monday
    • 9 - 9:30 pm - Functional Fitness 1 (Toni) 
      • This class is for individuals who are looking for a low-impact chair workout. This class provides balance and strength exercises with the use of dumbbells, resistance bands, and your own body weight. Chairs are used for seated and standing exercises. Additional benefits may include enhanced mood, increased range of motion, and more ease of doing daily activities. This class is good for seniors, however, all ages are welcome.
    • 10 - 10:45 pm - Functional Fitness 2 (Toni)
      • This class is for individuals looking for a low-impact workout that includes cardio, strengthening, and balance exercises. We will use mats and a variety of weights such as dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, etc., and your own body weight. Additional benefits may include ease of doing daily activities, increased energy, and enhanced mood.
    • 3 - 3:45 pm - Core N More (Shannon)
      • All skill levels are welcome. Your core is one of the most important parts of your body. Core N’ More is exactly what it sounds like. This class will focus primarily on your core, added with a few extra major muscle groups.
    • 4:15 - 5 pm - Strictly Strength (Sam)
    • 5:15 - 6 pm - Cardio Dance (Trina)
  • Tuesday
    • 6 - 6:45 am - Morning Body Blast (Shannon)
      • Intermediate level. High intensity, energy-packed, cardio-filled 45 minutes that gives your entire body a workout. If you’re looking to get that heart rate going while working every muscle in your body, this class is calling your name. 
    • 9 - 10:15 am - SomaYoga (Toni)
      • All ages and skill levels are welcome. SomaYoga is gentle and therapeutic. You will learn relaxation techniques and classic asana poses while lengthening and strengthening your muscles. Additional benefits may include clarity of mind, increased range of motion, and an overall relaxed body. Feel free to bring a water bottle, bolster, towel, and/or your own props. 
        Available props: mats, blocks, straps, and blankets.
    • 12 - 12:30 pm - 30 Minute Total Body (Shannon)
      • All skill levels are welcome. This class works every major muscle group. 30 Minute Total Body will work you from shoulders to calves, giving you a complete body workout in just 30 minutes! 
    • 5:15 - 6 pm - Cardio Dance (Trina)
  • Wednesday:

      We don’t believe in contracts that make you commit to a long-term relationship with your gym.

      Membership Freeze

      Freeze your membership for 1 to 6 months. if you're unable to use it. If you wish to freeze your membership, please call 218-485-5557 or stop by in-person by the 20th of the month for it to take effect the next month. These changes are not available through email.

      Our membership agreement is on a month-to-month basis. If you wish to cancel your membership, please call 218-485-5557 or stop by in-person by the 20th of the month for it to take effect the next month. These changes are not available through email.

      Reimbursement Programs

      Many health insurance plans offer a fitness reimbursement program. Several companies provide a $20 incentive for working out in a facility eight to 12 times a month. Contact your health insurance company to see if you have this benefit. If you do, let us know when you sign up for membership as we will waive your registration fee. The Center participates in many programs.

      The Essentia Health-Moose Lake Fitness Center offers ample, free parking to members and visitors using the fitness center.
