Kristen Flaherty, DPT

Dr. Kristen Flaherty is a compassionate and skilled physical therapist licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. She provides expert care at Essentia Health, working in inpatient acute and outpatient clinic settings. Since earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN, in 2021, Kristen has been dedicated to helping patients improve their quality of life. 

Kristen specializes in pelvic health for men and women, treating neurologic conditions such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease, and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) through Klose Training. Her holistic, patient-centered approach emphasizes exercise, education, and empowering individuals to take control of their physical health. 

Before pursuing physical therapy, Kristen earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and gained valuable experience working in cardiac care and pharmacy settings. This diverse background enriches her clinical practice and allows her to provide well-rounded care. 

Outside of her professional life, Kristen enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, playing volleyball, and exploring various arts and crafts. She is also deeply passionate about lifelong learning, constantly seeking ways to grow both personally and professionally. Kristen’s dedication to her patients and her commitment to holistic care make her a trusted and respected provider in her field.
