Description:

The purpose of the Bereavement Support Group Facilitator Training Program is to train those who wish to facilitate bereavement support groups. This comprehensive program is designed to teach participants about grief facilitation skills, group processes, and how to develop and organize a virtual or in person support group.

The training is led by Essentia Health Grief Support Services Staff who together have more than 45 years of experience developing and leading grief support groups for youth and adults.

Intended Audience:

This program is intended for social workers, healthcare professionals, volunteers, school counselors, chaplains, educators, funeral directors, or other individuals seeking to develop a grief support group or those who are currently facilitating one.

The price to attend is $325 if registered before January 18th or $375 if registered after January 19th. There is a group rate of $300 per person when three or more people register before January 18th This two-day training includes 15 CEU’s and downloadable training materials. Space is limited to 21 participants!

All fees are waived for qualified volunteers interested in co-facilitating an Essentia Health Grief Support Group.
