Primary Care

Essentia encourages all patients to have a primary care provider (PCP). Our PCPs, together with their support staff, form care teams that you and your family can rely on to meet all of your medical needs.

Your PCP can provide routine care including health screenings, vaccinations, and physicals. They can also diagnose and treat a wide range of injuries and illnesses. If you require specialty care, your PCP will make referrals and coordinate all of your health care needs.

Over time, your PCP will get to know you and your health history. Building a long-term relationship with your primary care team can improve your ability to maintain your health and quality of life.
