(SPEECH)GINA DIXON: The holidays can be such a bittersweet time for people who are grieving. There's just reminders everywhere about celebrating and that can be such a disconnect for people are feeling sad and missing their loved one. And so that sense of just exhaustion and wanting to retreat from those reminders can be so natural. I encourage people who are grieving around the holidays to really be gentle with themselves. You know, remember to slow down, cut back on obligations, make some choices that are intentional about what's helpful for you and communicate those choices to the people that are closest to you. It might be helpful to start a new tradition this year, such as lighting a candle in memory of your loved one or participating in a support group, connecting with other people who are grieving. And rituals like our tree of light ceremony that provides an opportunity to remember, and to honor, and to gather with others who are grieving in a meaningful way.
