And our job was to prepare the people and get them to the hospital. The good thing about us doing that is we knew once we got into the ER, to the hospital, they'd be fine. I became involved in the hospital and in the St. Mary's foundation because I know the value of the hospital. And it's important that we give or volunteer or something so that we have a say in how it goes and make sure that we have the best facility possible for our community. And we're very lucky at this point in time to have what we have.

Harold and Jean Rebenitsch speak to the camera.

HAROLD REBENITSCH: We give it to the foundation. And we would encourage others in the community to give to the foundation because there are always things that are needed that the basic budget does not cover. JEAN REBENITSCH: It makes me feel very good being able to help the community and through the foundation, be able to have pieces of equipment that we normally wouldn't have in our community.

CHRISTINE HVIDSTON: I utilized the whirl pools that were donated by the foundation when giving birth to my daughter. They were a great addition to the OB floor. And I'm so thankful for them. It made my experience that much better. JEAN REBENITSCH: It's not only important to give money to the foundation. There are other ways you can give. You can give by donating your time. And it doesn't have to be a long period of time. HAROLD REBENITSCH: The time that I spend, it frees up the nurses to go on with other patients and do other duties.

Bobby Smith, foundation board member, speaks to the camera.

(SPEECH)
BOBBY SMITH: Hi. I'm Bobby Smith, and I'm proud to be a part of St. Mary's foundation. One of the many things our committee does is to put on programs throughout the year on health-related topics. These range from your physical health to your mental health to your emotional well-being and more. Isn't it time we all got more involved, educated, and knowledgeable about our own health and health care? We're here to help you along that path to a healthier and happier life.
