Our clinic is also home to the Essentia Health Cancer Center (Duluth) and Erick Peter Person Children’s Cancer Center.
The 1st Street Building is one of three Duluth Clinic buildings on Essentia Health's downtown campus. You can reach all our medical buildings on campus by skywalk. During your visit, enjoy views of Lake Superior and outdoor spaces that promote healing. Our modern building has earned Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The Duluth Clinic is an outpatient department of Essentia Health-Duluth.
Primary Care for All Ages
Everyone needs a primary care provider. Partner with a provider who can help you stay healthy throughout your life. Our internal medicine team provides primary care to adults. Our pediatricians only see kids. See us for your next physical or to discuss new or ongoing health concerns.

Pediatric Walk-in Hours
When your child isn’t feeling well, visit the Duluth Clinic 1st Street Building for quick medical care. You don’t need an appointment to see a pediatrician for minor illnesses and injuries. When you arrive, please check in at the registration desk on the 3rd floor.

Caring Ways Cancer Resource Center
Your cancer care team is a great resource for questions you may have as well as support. You’ll also find more help at The Caring Ways Cancer Resource Center, including:
- A library of books, brochures, DVDs, and CDs
- Internet access and virtual resources
- Support group and mentorship information
- Wig and hat room
All community members are welcome—even if you get your care outside of Essentia. Most informational resources are free thanks to the support of the Miller-Dwan Foundation.

Help patients and families who are fighting cancer. Our Cancer Center is always looking for positive, energetic people to:
- Work in the Caring Ways Cancer Resource Center
- Deliver snacks to patients in our infusion room
- Visit with patients and families in waiting area
- Mentor – If you're a cancer survivor or caregiver, you can help support others.

The Duluth Clinic 1st Street Building is only one facility on Essentia Health’s medical campus in downtown Duluth. On our campus, you'll find three cafeterias, a restaurant, two coffee shops, two gift shops, and ATMs. In the Duluth Clinic 1st Street Building alone, you can take advantage of:
The Hearthstone Café is our cafeteria on the main floor of Duluth Clinic 1st Street Building. Enjoy breakfast or lunch in our dining area or outdoor patio. Or, pick up some snacks or food to go.
