If you’re a student or resident, looking for a clinical placement or internship, Essentia Health can help you. To be eligible for a clinical placement or internship at Essentia, you must be a student enrolled at an accredited academic program that requires the placement or internship experience.
Ask your program’s placement coordinator to email StudentPlacement@EssentiaHealth.org, to explore opportunities that may be right for you.
All clinical placements at Essentia Health are coordinated through our health science and medical education office. Do not directly contact our physicians or staff to request a placement or internship.
If you need observation hours for application to a physical therapy (PT) or occupational therapy (OT) program, fill out and submit a volunteer application.
Essentia doesn’t offer job shadow opportunities. If you’re looking for ways to explore health careers and demonstrate your interest to schools, consider volunteering.
Essentia Health is pleased to work with academic partners to host students in programs which require completion of a student project. Learn more about student research projects at Essentia.
Psychology Internship Program Essentia Health will offer three positions for the 2023-2024 training year; two interns will work primarily with adults and one intern will work primary with children and adolescents. These are full-time, one year internships equivalent to just over 2000 training hours. The purpose of the program is to prepare interns with the skills and knowledge to join the workforce as Health Service Psychologists, so that they can continue to make a healthy difference in people’s lives.
