This retrospective review will study whether the presence of bacteremia in patients undergoing emergent surgery for acute cholecystitis affects clinical outcomes, including in-hospital complications, hospital length of stay, duration of antibiotics, and mortality. Results from this study could inform future management of acute cholecystitis patients at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Dr. Sharon Moran is the Principal Investigator. Dr. Kristin Colling and Melissa Harry, PhD, are Co-Investigators.
