Funded by Essentia Health Duluth Clinic Foundation, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of genetic variants on the frequency and severity of adverse effects in children treated with methylphenidate for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Two hundred children aged 6-16 are being recruited to participate in this study.
The research team includes Cathy McCarty, Nancy Monaghan-Beery, Ron Regal, Paul Hitz, Mary Ann Miller, Allise Taran and Nathan Tesch from Essentia and Jacob Brown from UMD School of Pharmacy.
