Brief Alcohol Intervention


The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of brief alcohol interventions in trauma patients on subsequent hospital admissions.

Specific aims include:

  1. extracting data related to brief alcohol interventions for TBI patients in the trauma registry
  2. describing screening and brief alcohol interventions in the adult TBI patient population at EH SMMC
  3. quantifying outcomes (length of stay, unplanned 30-day readmissions) in adult TBI patients who did and did not receive brief alcohol interventions
