Surveillance of primary prevention with aspirin is part of the Minnesota Heart Health Program – Partners in Prevention (MHHP-PiP), a key program of the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Health with promotes recommended use of low-dose aspirin to prevent heart attack and stroke in targeted age groups of patients. MHHP-PiP includes public awareness messaging and health system quality improvement initiative that encompasses provider education, best practice alerts and health outcome surveillance.
