Description

A series of 2 evening classes, Childbirth Preparation is based upon Lamaze Childbirth Education principles and is designed to help prepare you for the delivery of your baby. It is ideal to start taking this class when you are between 28 and 32 weeks pregnant. Class will be held on the following dates:

Topics covered include:

  • Positioning and relaxation techniques for labor
  • Role of support person during labor
  • Discussion of various choices for mother during birth
  • Vaginal and C/Birth
  • Adjusting to parenthood
  • Care of newborn
  • How to initiate breastfeeding within one hour of birth (Sacred Hour and Skin-to-Skin)
  • The Benefits of Breastfeeding
  • The Benefits of Rooming-In

**UPDATE : This class will not be held in-person due to Covid-19. You will receive an email invite the week of class to join this class online using Microsoft Teams. Please download the Microsoft Teams App as needed depending on your device.
