Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an important first-aid skill to know should you ever need to help an infant or young child who is choking or has stopped breathing. Essentia Health Certified CPR instructors will demonstrate the special resuscitation methods needed to aid infants and children under the age of eight. This is a Friends and Family Course and is not a certification class.
Topics include:
- Choking
- CPR for Infant & Child
- How to stock a first aid kit
- When to call the doctor
- What to do in an emergency
- There is no fee to attend this class!
This class is an ONLINE class and will NOT meet in person. Enjoy the class while sitting on your couch. Please have a stuffed animal, doll, or pillow available to practice the CPR portion of the class if able. You do not need to register an additonal person if your support person will be watching the class with you.
When registering for the class use a valid email address as this will be how I send you the link to "Join" the class:
1. Use a Web browser or download the free "Teams App" on smartphone, tablet, etc.
2. Click on the "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" in the email that you will receive a few days prior to class start date
3. You will need to have a Microsoft account to join
4. Make sure to Sign in prior to the start date to ensure it works
