Classes prepare mothers-to-be for changes in the last trimester of pregnancy, signs and stages of labor, hospital admission, birth (vaginal or cesarean), and care of mother and baby after birth. Plan to attend with your labor coach six to eight weeks before your due date.
Those who attend do much better in labor, birth and entering into parenting.

Childbirth Preparation Basics is designed to help you and your partner prepare for the birth of your baby.
Topics include:
- Signs and stages of labor
- Hospital admission & routines – medication options
- Vaginal and cesarean birth
- Comfort strategies for labor-management
- Welcoming your newborn – characteristics and care
- Postpartum care – life after baby
This virtual option is held using Microsoft Teams and occurs at the same time as the in-person class. You will be sent an email invite with login information prior to class.
