A Friday evening and Saturday day, option for childbirth education. Childbirth class is designed to help prepare you for the delivery of your baby. Ideal to start taking this class when you are 28 to 32 weeks pregnant, but may take at any point in your pregnancy.
Registration reserves space for mother and her partner.

process of giving birth
Positioning and relaxation techniques for labor
Role of support person during labor
Discussion of various choices/interventions for mother during birth
Vaginal and Cesarean Birth
Adjusting to parenthood
Care of newborn

This class will be held in-person, at Essentia Health Detroit Lakes Hospital, and remote via teams. This is a two part class, being held Friday evening from 6:30-9:00 and Saturday 9:00-3:00. You will get an email one week prior to the first day of your class with instructions for both options.
