At the end of the course the participant will be able to:

  • Explain treatment modalities for dysrhythmias
  • Demonstrate proficiency in each of the team roles during the Mega code
  • Demonstrate universal algorithm steps
  • Discuss the importance of early defibrillation and use of the AED
  • Explain the appropriate algorithm for each dysrhythmia
  • Discuss medications used for specific cardiac rhythms

Prerequisites:

  • Basic Cardiac Rhythms Course or equivalent
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
  • Completed pre-test.

 

The ACLS course teaches healthcare providers early management of ACS, stroke, arrhythmias, and cardiopulmonary arrest. This is a 2-day course for those seeking initial certification and for those whose certification has lapsed. Students must attend two consecutive days.

 

The class registration fee DOES NOT include the class manual.
