Essentia Health expands vaccine eligibility in Wisconsin

Essentia Health is expanding its vaccine efforts to increase accessibility.

Essentia will follow Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers’ announcement earlier this week that everyone in the state aged 16 and older will be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine starting Monday, April 5. Essentia now is vaccinating people 16 and older in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota.

The public is invited to contact Essentia Health to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. To make it even easier for patients and non-patients alike to receive their vaccine, appointments can be scheduled one of two ways. First, they can be scheduled easily through MyChart, our online patient portal, which also is open to non-patients. Second, people can call (833) 494-0836. Appointment availability is dependent upon each vaccine site having sufficient supply.

Please note that only the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine has been approved for 16- and 17-year-olds, and not all of our sites have that manufacturer available.

Sign up for MyChart, by visiting our MyChart portal and click on the MyChart button in the upper right-hand corner; then click “sign up.” There is also a MyChart app for smart devices.

All three vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson) have undergone rigorous testing by the Food and Drug Administration that has ensured their safety, and millions of people now have received vaccines worldwide. They are proven to be highly effective, and individuals who are eligible are encouraged to receive any vaccine offered to them.
