Essentia Health’s Center for Personal Fitness to reopen Monday

Essentia Health’s Center for Personal Fitness is reopening Monday, June 15, after being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Per Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, gyms and personal fitness centers were allowed to reopen this past Wednesday, June 10, at 25 percent of their normal capacity. The Center for Personal Fitness, located at Essentia’s Miller Hill Health Plaza, in the former Younkers building, will start welcoming guests at 5:30 a.m. Monday. Regular hours, which can be found here, are in effect.

Facility modifications will be in place to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and keep our guests and staff safe. Those include a defined flow pattern that will emphasize effective social distancing; equipment will be set up and spaced at least six feet apart; numerous sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the facility; and staff members will wear face masks at all times, as well as gloves when interacting with guests.

Locker rooms, the therapy pool and studios will be available. Towels will be provided, though guests are encouraged to bring their own.
