Essentia Health welcomes Nurse Practitioner Eric Monticello

Nurse Practitioner Eric Monticello has joined the Behavioral Health Department at Essentia Health-South University Clinic in Fargo, ND.

“Essentia and I share similar values and beliefs, that patients and their families are always the priority, and that quality, integrative care is delivered through teamwork and compassion, with an emphasis on both physical and spiritual health which results in improved patient outcomes,” says Monticello.

Monticello earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. He is certified as a psychiatry nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

“I’m grateful that my professional role gives me the opportunity to help improve peoples’ quality of life and also the platform to educate communities to help raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness,” explains Monticello. “I place emphasis on individualized and patient-centered care and strive to empower patients to be active participants in their health care decisions.”
