Essentia Health to offer free advance care planning class in Proctor

What if a sudden illness or injury leaves you unable to speak for yourself? Who would speak for you? What would you want them to know about your values and wishes?

A free advance care planning class hosted by the Essentia Health-Proctor Clinic on Monday, Jan. 27, will highlight the steps necessary to ensure you’re prepared for this kind of scenario. In addition to fostering thought-provoking discussion, the class will help you learn the vocabulary, reflect on your values, explore goals for treatment and work toward completing a health care directive.

The class begins at 3 p.m. on Jan. 27 at the Essentia Health-Proctor Clinic, 211 S Boundary Ave. For more information, contact Wanda Paulsen at (218) 786-1310.
