Medicare Meetups to learn more about EssentiaCare

Still searching for the best Medicare plan as 2019 inches to a close?

Open enrollment continues throughout the Northland for EssentiaCare, a Medicare Advantage plan that combines expert care from Essentia Health with reliable health coverage from UCare. Several informational sessions are scheduled over the next two weeks, where attendees can learn additional details and have their questions answered.

Topics covered at these Medicare Meetups include how to choose the right plan; how Medicare works; what Medicare covers; when to enroll; and what our EssentiaCare plans cover.

“This is a great opportunity for people who utilize Essentia facilities to get great quality care at a low price,” said Jennifer O’Brien, senior director of population health at Essentia.

In addition to its cost-effectiveness, EssentiaCare is appealing to consumers because it fosters access to coordinated care across Essentia’s robust network of providers and specialty services.

“The result is a comprehensive review of the patient’s health by their care team, which will develop a care plan to optimize the patient’s health care needs,” O’Brien said. “These cohesive teams coordinate services so that the providers and the patients are aware of all health care needs.”

The last day of the annual enrollment period is Dec. 7.
