Essentia Health welcomes Dr. James Boatman

James Boatman, interventional cardiologist

Dr. James Boatman, an interventional cardiologist, has joined the Essentia Health Heart and Vascular Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

“I have been working in Fargo for over 10 years and love the people and the city,” says Dr. Boatman. “At Essentia Health, I feel like I’m part of a family-centered healthcare system that provides the highest-level of care to the patient.”

Dr. Boatman earned a medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. He completed a residency in internal medicine at New York University in New York, New York, a fellowship in cardiology at Cornell University Medical College, also in New York, and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Boatman is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

“I will make the time to stop and listen to what is going on with my patients and treat each patient the way I would treat a family member,” explains Dr. Boatman.
