Essentia Health has the passport to adventure

Essentia Health invites you to “Passport to Adventure,” a free community dinner and celebration of healthy, active kids and families. It’s from 4-6:30 p.m. Monday, June 24, at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Sports Center, 120 S. 30th Ave. West in Duluth. The event is open to everyone.

“Our mission is to make a healthy difference in the lives of the people we serve,” says Tonya Loken, Essentia’s Community Relations program manager.  “Families will be able to connect with community organizations that offer resources to help them stay active and healthy.”

Events include a bike rodeo and bike helmet giveaway (while supplies last), a bounce house, games and activities and open ice skating from 4-6 p.m. A healthy dinner will be provided, along with a chance to meet community youth organizations.

“We hope ‘Passport to Adventure’ gets families excited about having a healthy summer. That’s particularly important when school is out and many kids could spend their free time on screen time,” Loken explains. “Essentia and the other community organizations involved in this event are committed to supporting healthy activities for families.”
