Dr. Oloruntobi Rahaman, a hospitalist, has joined Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota.
“My experience growing up in a neighborhood with scarce medical resources coupled with my background in public health triggered my interest in addressing the medical needs of underserved communities,” explains Dr. Rahaman. “Essentia Health provides the platform through which I can tackle medical challenges by working with a great team.”
Dr. Rahaman earned a medical degree from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Ogbomosho, Nigeria, and a master’s degree in public health from Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Harlem Hospital Center in New York, New York.
As part of the Hospitalist Team, Dr. Rahaman will care for patients who are hospitalized due to illness or injury. “It’s always a pleasure for me to provide conscientious care for my patients and see their quality of life improve,” he says.
