Dr. Matthias Albin, an interventional radiologist, has joined the Essentia Health-32nd Avenue Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota.
As part of the Interventional Radiology Team, Dr. Albin will diagnose and treat a wide array of conditions using image-guided procedures that are minimally invasive. “This specialty is very satisfying both personally and professionally as it allows me to use all of my knowledge and training while being directly involved with patients and having the opportunity to play a role in their health and well-being,” he explains. “Because it is such a broad field, it involves every part of the body and every stage of life, and the close collaboration we have with other specialties ensures optimum outcomes for our patients.”
Dr. Albin earned a medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a fellowship in interventional radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
“I encourage my patients to ask questions because interventional radiology is not as well-known as other specialties, which can cause some anxiety,” explains Dr. Albin. “I’m here for them, and I hope to alleviate any worries they may have.”
