Dr. Andrew Bader, a family medicine physician, has joined the Essentia Health St. Joseph’s-Baxter Clinic in Baxter, Minnesota. In addition to caring for patients of all ages, Dr. Bader will also provide prenatal care for pregnant women.
“I grew up in Northern Wisconsin, so I love the small town feel of this area,” says Dr. Bader. “It’s a great place to practice and I’m very excited to settle into this community and care for patients here.”
Dr. Bader earned a medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Minnesota Family Medicine Residency Program in Mankato, Minnesota.
“I love primary care because it allows me to care for a lot of different people and get to know them over time,” explains Dr. Bader. “I’m very interested in preventative care and helping my patients stay well by maintaining a healthy lifestyle.”
Dr. Bader also specializes in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), specifically Facial Distortion model (FDM) treatments. These treatments can be used to ease pain, improve mobility, and promote health in patients of all ages. “I look forward to providing this specialty care to the Brainerd Lakes Region," he says.
