Published on October 11, 2018
Allie Skjonsberg, a licensed independent clinical social worker, has joined the Behavioral Health Department at the Essentia Health-Wahpeton Clinic in Wahpeton, North Dakota.
“I chose this opportunity because I was really drawn to Essentia Health’s mission and values,” says Skjonsberg. “Being in the social work field, it is truly important to feel that you can make a positive impact in the lives of the individuals you see, and I feel that I’ll be able to do that while working at Essentia Health, especially in Wahpeton.”
Skjonsberg earned a master’s degree in social work at the University of Minnesota Duluth, in Duluth, Minnesota.
“Life has a lot of twists and turns, and I truly believe that everyone should have a therapist to help them navigate life – in good times and bad,” says Skjonsberg. “I am excited to work with patients to help them link their mental health with their physical health, so that they’re able to be the best that they can be.”
