Essentia Health-Park Rapids Clinic hosts Lunch-N-Learn on osteoporosis

Weak bones are an issue for millions of men and women nationwide, and dozens right in our community. That’s why Essentia Health-Park Rapids Clinic will host a Feb. 16 Lunch-N-Learn to answer your questions about osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is a bone disease in which the bones are too weak and can break easily. It’s estimated that 1 in 2 women and 1 in 4 men age 50 and older will break a bone because of osteoporosis.

Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, an orthopedic physician who sees patients in Park Rapids, will discuss the condition in-depth, along with symptoms and treatments.

The Lunch-N-Learn is free at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 803 W. First St. Park Rapids. The event starts at noon and lunch will be provided. If you’re interested, RSVP by calling (218) 844-0719 or email
