Essentia Health Offering Back-to-School and Sports Physicals

Being a parent of a student keeps you busy, especially in the fall. Essentia Health wants to make getting ready for school and sports easier. Get a jump on your fall to-do list by taking care of your child’s back-to-school and sports physical during convenient times.

For area students, there are a few options:

Walk-In    |    No Appointment Needed

Tuesday, July 24 or Thursday, July 26

Essentia Health – 52nd Avenue Clinic
4110 51st Ave S, Fargo

Wednesday, July 25
5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Essentia Health – Moorhead Clinic
801 Belsly Blvd, Moorhead

Pediatrician, Dr. David Clutter says, “A sports physical is the chance to talk about any potential health issues an athlete might have, it includes a general physical exam and gives us the opportunity to check for history of concussion, history of issues or past injuries that a student athlete might have.”

You can use any of our walk-in clinics during their normal hours to receive sports physicals as well. No appointment is needed at walk-in locations. You can also schedule a visit with your primary care physician.

These visits are important because many kids this age may not be coming in for their regular well-child checks. “This physical affords us the opportunity to check on vaccinations and address any problems that might become a bigger health concern down the road,” says Dr. Clutter.
