Essentia Health-Graceville Clinic Offers A Matter of Balance Class

Essentia Health-Graceville Clinic is proud to offer A Matter of Balance, an award-winning program designed to manage falls. The class will be held twice a week on Monday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Grace Village located at 114 W 2nd Street in Graceville. Classes begin on October 22 and run through November 15.

A Matter of Balance is an evidence-based program where participants learn ways to improve and maintain their balance and prevent falls. This class emphasizes practical strategies to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels.

Past class member, Bobbe Kostizky said, “Since the class, I am more aware of my moving around my apartment. I now realize I need to move slower. This class has made me increase my activity as much as my body will allow.”

This class is recommended for anyone concerned about falls or anyone who has fallen in the past. Those who are interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength, or have restricted activities because of falling concerns is encouraged to attend.
