Essentia Health announces McGough as construction manager for Vision Northland project

Essentia Health is pleased to announce that McGough Construction has been selected as construction manager for its Vision Northland project, an $800 million investment, which includes a new hospital tower, clinic and outpatient surgery center on its downtown Duluth, Minnesota campus.

“We were impressed with the level of commitment from McGough to ensure the appropriate resources are allocated to successfully complete Vision Northland,” says Mark Hayward, Essentia’s senior vice president of operations. “McGough has an excellent reputation and is well-known for its great working relationship with local and regional subcontractors.”

Vision Northland demonstrates Essentia’s commitment to improving the quality of care in state-of-the-art medical facilities with advanced technologies to meet patient’s needs while enhancing the patient and staff experience. It not only represents a major investment in Essentia Health’s mission as well as the Northland’s economy, but also serves as a catalyst for other investments and economic development.

“McGough is thrilled to have been selected to be construction manager for the Vision Northland project. We are very excited to partner with Essentia Health and the entire project team. This project promises to transform the delivery of health care in the region and will positively impact the entire Duluth community. We plan to leverage our local presence and expect regional construction expertise to be integral to the success of this project. We are honored to have been selected and look forward to working with the project team to deliver a remarkable outcome,” says Tim McGough, executive vice president at McGough.
