The Essentia Health-Virginia Regional Foundation has announced its main fundraiser will be moved to a spring dinner and auction to be held at the Elks Club April 13, 2018. The Foundation will not hold a Festival of Trees at Essentia Health-Virginia this fall.
"We realize that the Festival of Trees is a popular event and we are thankful for the community' support throughout the years," says Deb Ellingsen, Foundation specialist. "Over the years, the Festival of Trees has grown into a large fundraiser and we have outgrown the necessary space to host this multi-day event. We are excited to start a new tradition in the Virginia community with the spring dinner."
Proceeds from Foundation events benefit the Essentia Health-Virginia Ambulatory Infusion Center.
"Essentia Health-Virginia is fortunate to have such a compassionate and dedicated group of foundation board members and we fully support their decision to modify the methods of fundraising and planning of community events in order to make a bigger impact," says Essentia Health-Virginia Administrator Sam Stone. "Essentia Health-Virginia and the Foundation look forward to focusing efforts on improving care and medical services access within our community."
