If the unexpected happens during the Christmas or New Year holidays, Essentia Health staff is here with you offering three walk-in care service options. Visit EssentiaHealth.org for more information and wait times for Urgent Care, Convenient Care clinics, and Emergency Department. All other clinic locations will be closed Saturday-Monday, December 23-25; and December 30-January 1.
Essentia Health St. Joseph's-Baxter Urgent Care located at 13060 Isle Drive, Baxter will be open as follows: Saturday, December 23 9am-4pm Sunday, December 24 9am-4pm Monday, December 25 CLOSED Saturday, December 30 9am-4pm Sunday, December 31 9am-4pm Monday, January 1 9am-4pm Urgent Care treats patients on a walk in basis, staffed with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. The team of providers at Urgent Care can assess your symptoms, diagnose your illness, order tests and x-rays, and prescribe treatments to get you feeling better fast.
Essentia Health Convenient Care located at Cub Foods-Baxter, 14133 Edgewood Drive in Baxter, and Cub Foods-Brainerd, 417 8th Avenue NE in Brainerd, is open 7 days a week (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter): Saturday, December 23 8am-7:30pm Sunday, December 24 8am-3:00pm Monday, December 25 CLOSED Saturday, December 30 8am-7:30pm Sunday, December 31 8am-7:30pm Monday, January 1 9am-3:30pm Convenient Care treats patients age 18 months or older on a walk in basis. Care is provided by a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
Emergency Department at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center located at 523 3rd Street North, Brainerd is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. If you are experiencing an emergency, dial 911 or head to the nearest emergency room. This includes suffering chest pain, having trouble breathing, suffering from a trauma, or need care not during Urgent Care or Convenient Care clinic hours.
