Published on December 26, 2017
Medicine is changing by the day and the team at Essentia Health-Ada is committed to keeping up with latest advances, while offering hometown care and service that goes back for generations.
"Hospitals are places for recovery and healing and being involved in the lives of so many in this community is truly on honor," says Essentia Health-Ada Administrator Erin Stoltman. "I look back at everything we've done this past year, and I smile, laugh and cry all at the same time."
With the honor of being a part of families' medical decisions comes responsibility to provide the best medical care. The team in Ada is constantly adding new technology, with 21 new services added this year. These services were added through grants, donations and investments. Without support from the community and other philanthropic organizations, some of our services couldn't be offered.
"When I see the entire list of everything the hospital and clinic has added this past year, all I can say is 'wow,'" Stoltman says. "If you break down the numbers, about two new services or technologies were added every month."
This includes a new ambulance, CT scanner, after-hours nurse triage, diabetes prevention classes, community paramedic programs and more.
"2017 was a great year for us," said Stoltman. "I only hope 2018 brings even more medical advances that we can bring to our community. Happy new year."
