Moose Lake Community School received a $5,000 grant from Essentia Health in 2021 to help their school forest be accessible for all ability levels. With this grant, the school has been able to increase outdoor educational activities, as well as physical activities and year-round use of the trails.
"We have a beautiful and diverse school forest and to showcase and share it with the community is a dream come true," said the Moose Lake Community Schools Community Education Coordinator. "The more we scratch, the more we uncover and there are tons of potential learning resources for our students and community. THANK YOU Essentia Health."
Cultural Diversity Resources (CDR) in Fargo was recently awarded a $7,000 grant from Essentia Health to support education in nutrition, physical activity and community gardening for New Americans.
CDR has a rich 27-year history of supporting diverse, low-income populations in the Fargo/Moorhead region. Essentia is thrilled to support CDR in their goal of increasing diversity and inclusion within the community.
Essentia Health Community Health Specialist, Chandler Esslinger, presents a check to CDR leadership.
